The color of the day for the team on Saturday must have been silver, as the majority of our 24 medal winners earned 2nd place at the tournament in Coeur d’Alene. We watched several tough finals matches that unfortunately ended in a loss against some great competition in addition to seeing a couple kids have a comeback weekend after missing the podium over in East Valley.

Our overall win percentage fell again through our large Intermediate division with a lot of new and young wrestlers. Novic and Middle School came away with the team’s best performance and a medal for almost everyone. The Bantam group had a bit of a rough go but brought home three of our fourteen silver medals.

Next weekend closes out the league with the Panhandle Championships and hopefully 16-man brackets for those bigger weight classes we have seen all season. Let’s hit it hard these last couple of practices and get ready to earn those championship medals.
