Twenty-one Legacy wrestlers opted to close out the NIWL season with the final tournament in Priest River. Another chance to work on the technique they have been practicing and have a little fun before the Thanksgiving break.

During the 6U session we watched an adorable match-up between twin brothers Luke and Liam. Wrestling teammates is tough, but wrestling a brother is tougher - and much harder on mom!

As the day progressed, we saw 13 wrestlers make their way on the Spartan podium including a handful who earned their first medals of the year. Luke, Abel and Maci were just shy of placing in their 8-man brackets and finished 4th. We were also excited to see Lydia wrestle her first live matches; she did a great job and went the distance with her opponents. (Lydia you have to keep wrestling because I owe you a better action shot, I couldn’t coach and take pictures very well at the same time😊)

All in all, it was a good day of wrestling for some of our newer and younger wrestlers with plenty of time between sessions to keep up with how our teammates were doing in Spokane.

Way to take advantage of the mat time and great job to those who finished on the podium!
