This year’s schedule put the Bonners Ferry Freestyle and Greco tournament midway through our season, and we went into the tournament with a bit more confidence and a few more moves to try. The Easter/Spring Break weekend may have pulled some of our team away, but Legacy still had a great showing with 15 wrestlers, 11 of which competed in both styles.

While the tournament had a great turnout, a few age groups/weight classes were definitely smaller and unfortunately Olivia didn’t have anyone to wrestle. We are glad the kids who are showing up to wrestle, regardless of the numbers, are attempting the new technique, gaining experience and having fun.

Legacy families, thanks for spending a sunny day inside a gym with us and supporting the wrestling community to build up the Freestyle and Greco season. Spring wrestling is hard when other sports and outdoor activities are calling – we have two weeks left – let’s finish strong!

Great job wrestlers on your tremendous effort and giving it a shot no matter who you were facing off against. Congratulations to our placers in both Greco and Freestyle!
